Talk: Queer Resistance in Hal Duncan’s The Land of Somewhere Safe
Sunday 12pm (Pentland)
I’ll be talking about Hal Duncan’s novella The Land of Somewhere Safe, the latest in his Scruffians series, where his superpowered, indestructible scamps take on C. S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia – and how, by queering the original, Duncan restores the anti-fascist message to Lewis’s classic work.
