It’s been a while – but to make up for it, here’s not one, but two events I’ll be appearing at this April (virtually and in London) and May (in Glasgow). Read on for more details…
Eastercon
This year’s Eastercon, Reclamation ’22, kicks off on 15th April virtually and in-person at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre (London Heathrow). Guests of honour include Philip Reeve, Mary Robinette Kowal, Tasha Suri and Nicholas Whyte. It feels a bit surreal to say I’ll be joining them too! Here’s where I’ll be across the weekend.
Friday
16:30 – The Future of Storytelling (Bleriot)
Ruth Booth (moderator), Gianni Ceccarelli (Dakkar), Sarah Cole, Emily Inkpen, PS Livingstone
Sunday
12:00 – Games As An Out-of-World Experience (Endeavour)
Edward Fortune (moderator), Ruth Booth, Sarah Cole, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Marcus Rowland, Russell Smith
19:30 – Disaster Queers in Space (Endeavour)Mike Brooks (moderator), Ruth Booth, F. D. Lee, Fiona Moore

You can also catch me at the Glasgow in 2024 table on Saturday afternoon, where I’ll be lending a hand for a couple of hours. As they’re the only registered bid for hosting Worldcon in 2024, it’s worth considering a pre-support donation or even joining as a friend. The latter will guarantee you membership of the convention, should Glasgow in 2024 be selected to host the event.
Meanwhile, regarding Eastercon: there’s still time to register in-person or virtually (as a supporting member) – and helpfully, there is a low-income option. For more details, click here: https://reclamation2022.co.uk/
Scottish Writers’ Centre (with Fiona Mozley)
On 17th May, the multiple award-winning Fiona Mozley (Elmet, Hot Stew) will be joining the Scottish Writers’ Centre for a Q&A and reading. Fiona will be joined by Sindhu Rajasekaran (Smashing The Patriarchy, Kalaedoscopic Reflections), Mirri Glasson-Darling (Pushcart nominated, Notable mention in Best American Essays 2021), and… me!
This is part of the ongoing series of University of Strathclyde Creative Writing Showcase events. If you’d like to hear what I’ve working on, do pop along to the CCA in Glasgow at 7pm on 21st May. Tickets are free and available now from the box below.
