The room Argyll 3 at the Crowne Plaza, filled to capacity (probably a hundred people) while editors Brian M. Milton, E.M. Faulds and Neil Williamson, three caucasians, address the crowd.

‘The Badger’ out now in Gallus, plus Waterstones Book Launch

After selling out of copies at this year’s Worldcon, Glasgow 2024, the Glasgow SF Writers’ Circle have announced another launch event at Waterstones Argyle ST for new anthology Gallus. Featuring my new story ‘The Badger’, Gallus is also now available online. Read on for more details…

Gallus is the latest anthology from the Glasgow SF Writers’ Circle, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2016. The book showcases stories across SF and Fantasy by established and previously-unpublished members of the Circle, all edited by Brian M. Milton, E.M. Faulds and Neil Williamson. Assisted by Brian’s homemade tablet, the launch for Gallus (photo above), which took place at Glasgow 2024 on Friday 9th August, completely sold out of copies before the close.

My story ‘The Badger’, which features a language learning app with unique capabilities, had a lovely review from Run Along the Shelves last week, who called it “hilarious” and a “highlight of the book”. Click here to read their full review of Gallus.

On 29th August, Gallus launches at Waterstones Argyle ST in Glasgow, where nearly all the 25 contributors will be available to sign your books. Fingers crossed I’ll be there too, as I’m currently recovering from a doubt of COVID I caught at Worldcon.
