Well, this is a bit of a bizarre one. My final story of 2024 is ‘Dead Notice’, out now in Flash Point SF.
‘Dead Notice’ was a surprise, not least for me – a near wholly-forgotten relic from the drafts folder. One for fans of zombie flash fiction, if you know Glasgow, parts of this will be pretty familiar. Think of it as a comic palate cleanser after this year’s darker and more satirical stories.
Flash Point SF solicited some fantastic artwork to go with this one from the surreal mind of Kevin Pabst (who, weirdly, has gotten Harry’s hair exactly right). You can read it online now, and don’t forget you can support the contributors to Flash Point SF by subscribing to their mailing list for £5 a year.
In other news, ‘Invitation’, my novelette about immigration and legacies of collaboration, has had a lovely (spoiler-free) write-up in Supernova Reviews. Do check it out here and huge thanks to the Supernova team for their support. You can pick up ‘Invitation’ in ParSec #11, available now from PS Publishing.
