Fantasycon 2026

Let’s talk Fantasycon next, which is taking place at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel over 9th – 11th October 2026. I’ll be there on 9th and 10th for quite a packed couple of days, including John Carpenter, AI, Reviewing and the launch of Haverin, the new Glasgow SF Writers’ Circle anthology (click here for more details). I’m not sure exactly what I’ll be reading on the Friday just yet, but likely some SFnal stuff alongside my story from Haverin.

Here’s where you can find me:

Friday

5pm, Main Room
Glasgow SF Writers’ Circle’s Haverin Book Launch (click for details)
I’m told there will be homemade tablet.

7pm, Malin
Reading (with Peter F. Hamilton and Allen Stroud)

Saturday

11am, Panel 2
Death to AI (with Donna Scott (Moderator), Geoff Ryman, Stephen Cox, C.L. McCartney)

1pm, Orkney
The Art of Reviewing ((M) with Gary Couzens, Meghan Ellis, Alex Hormann, Adrian Fletcher)

3pm,
John Carpenter Retrospective (with Tori Bovalino (M), Gary Couzens, Geoff Ryman, Ed Fortune)

Unless I’m hurtling down the corridors towards a panel or having a meal, please feel free to say hello. Though do bear in mind my brain is mostly PhD thesis mush right now.

Tickets, programme links and everything can be found on the British Fantasy Society website:

Finally, if you’re in Scotland and can’t make Fantasycon, I’ll also be at Pictcon on 17th October and the Waterstones launch of Haverin on 21st October.

The cover of Haverin, the GSFWC anthology, which features a red-haired girl reading while surrounded by books and a cat in a green space. Text reads: Featuring: Neil Williamson, E.M. Faulds, Christopher Caldwell, Eliza Chan and many more. Haverin, Edited by Brian M. Milton, Peter Morrison and Heather Valentine.
